This kit contains enough to make 6lb of chicken, fish or veggies.
Ingredients:
Fry Batter Mix (Stone ground fine cornflour & pacific sea salt), Fish Flavoring,
Poultry Potion, Veggie Rub (ingredients on spice package)
Fish Flavoring featuring our Bayou Blackening Balm - Ingredients:Paprika, Cayenne Pepper, Kosher Salt, Black Pepper, Garlic & Thyme.
Poultry Potion featuring our Picante Passion - Ingredients: Onion, Paprika, Garlic, Parsley, Crushed Red Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Oregano and kosher salt.
Veggie Rub featuring our Tomato and Parsley - Ingredients: Parsley, Dried Tomatoes, Chives, Onion, Garlic, Kosher Salt, Coarse Ground Black Pepper, Crushed Red
Pepper, Celery Seed, Dill Seed, Rosemary, Oregano, And Rye.
Per lb of Veggies, Fish or Chicken
1/3 cup batter mix
1/2 tsp spice
2 tbsp mayonnaise
In a ziplock bag add the spice, mayo, and meat or veggies. Shake and press to coat.
Marinate in the fridge for 15 min to overnight.
Pour the contents of the bag of batter mix into a reusable container, and shake to mix up. On a plate scoop out the amount you need. Dredge your marinated ingredients in the batter mix, pressing for a good coat.
Traditional Method - Fill a skilled with 1/4” of oil and heat it to 375°F. Fry only a few pieces at the time, turning just once, until the cornmeal coating is golden brown, then drain them on a paper towel before enjoying. Fish and chicken should need about 5 min per side, vegetables a little less.
Oven - Preheat oven to 430°F. Place a dark-colored sheet pan in the oven to heat up. Coat pan with olive oil. Bake for 10 min, flip, and finish baking for 5-10 min.
Air fry -Follow the manufacturer's directions. Cooking time for vegetables will be 1/2
the time of fish or poultry.
