Historically we have encouraged our customers to join us in this fight by offering discounts for donations to Feeding America. Over the past decade, our community collectively contributed more than 100,000 meals.

With our membership in 1% for the Planet every $100 in sales helps to provide 10 meals through Feeding America. By intertwining our business operations with philanthropic efforts, we've created a powerful cycle of giving. Providing Opportunity

In 2021, we launched a program to provide employment training opportunities for students with disabilities in collaboration with local schools. The initiative aimed to address the need for practical job skills development for this demographic. Our partnership with the Strive Team at Agawam Public Schools in the Spring of 2022 led to the establishment of an internship program for young adults. The interns underwent an application and interview process and received support from a job coach as they engaged in tasks such as packaging dry mixes and spices for three hours each week. Drawing from insights gained from previous internship programs, we refined our approach in preparation for new interns joining in September. Following a successful 16-week internship where participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the business, we transitioned them into formal employment roles focusing on marketing and inventory tasks. This program underscores our commitment to providing valuable employment training opportunities and highlights our ongoing collaboration with local schools to offer this essential resource to young adults in the community.
