While traveling the back roads of Cape Breton, we happened upon a charming town where a delightful bakery was known for its unique creations. One such creation were the Lavender Biscuits, made with homegrown flowers that infused each bite with tranquility and delight. The intoxicating aroma drew us in. With dollop of butter and a bit of marmalade we were enchanted. We hope you will feel the same with our version of their beloved baked treat.
LAVENDER BISCUIT MIX (GF) - Christmas Cracker Wrap. INGREDIENTS: Rice, Tapioca and Arrowroot flour, Baking Powder, Kosher Salt, and Lavender. (GF)
Instructions
1 tbsp Honey, 1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup warm heavy cream (with 1 tbsp vinegar added to it)
Add packet of lavender to the warm cream. Preheat oven to 450°F. Cut butter into flour with a pastry blender or two forks until mixture resembles small peas. Stir in milk with a fork until dough begins to form a ball. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured work surface; knead 2 or 3 times, gradually adding additional flour as needed to prevent sticking.

Cut dough into fourths and stack one on top of another. Roll stacked dough into a 1-inch-thick circle. Repeat procedure 3 more times. Use a 2 1/2-inch round cutter to cut biscuits, pressing scraps together once. Place biscuits, on a baking sheet. Chill 15 minutes.
Bake until golden brown, 18 to 20 minutes.
