PORK SHOULDER
- CHINESE 5 SPICE & SEA SALT.
- INGREDIENTS: Cinnamon, Fennel, Anise, Black Pepper, Cloves, and Sea Salt.
Recipe
5 lb boneless pork shoulder
4 cups cranberry juice
1/2 cup Cranberry Relish
2 tbsp Chinese 5 Spice
1 tsp Pacific Sea Salt
The night before, soak pork in cranberry juice and 1/2 tbsp Chinese 5 Spice and enough water to cover the meat. Refrigerate.
Preheat oven or grill to 425 F. Place the pork roast in a medium baking dish. Rub Roast thoroughly with remaining relish, Chinese 5 Spice and sea salt. Sear meat on all sides for 5 minutes each. If using the oven, seal baking dish tightly with foil. Reduce heat to 325 f. Cook 5 hours in the preheated oven, or until the internal temperature of the pork has reached 185 F. Allow to sit covered for 30 minutes.
