Ingredients: White beans, onion, brown sugar, sea salt, and our signature Jamaican Jerk Seasoning blend (garlic, kosher salt, brown sugar, paprika, thyme, cayenne pepper, crushed red pepper, black pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, coriander & pure orange extract)
Simple Preparation Instructions
Night Before: Soak bean mixture overnight in 4 cups of water
Cooking Day: Combine soaked beans and water in bean pot or deep baking dish, then add:
- ½ cup molasses
- 3 tbsp rum (or vinegar for alcohol-free)
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp canola oil
- ½ lb pork rind (optional)
Cook: 8 hours at 300°F or medium heat in crockpot until beans reach your preferred tenderness
