Around 1980 Fenton Art Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia, released a limited-edition plate series. Created in bas-relief, each plate depicted 1 of 4 famous Currier & Ives scenes. The four scenes were "Winter in the Country: The Old Grist Mill," "Harvest," "The Old Homestead in Winter," and " Winter Pastime." "The Old Grist Mill" was the only scene also available on a lamp, a bell, and a fairy light/vase.
This "Old Grist Mill" bell was handmade and signed. It features a detailed scene of not only the grist mill but also a horse, oxen, people, houses, and a winter forest stream landscape. In perfect condition, the original owner even marked the day they purchased this bell.
