HOMEMADE HOT CHOCOLATE - I grew up on what was once the town ski resort. We essentially had one hill separated by a grove of pines. On the left there was a steep decline. On the right the train gently sloped down to our brook. While the rope tow for skiers had long since stopped working, our back yard was the perfect place for sledding parties.

1 1/2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the whole milk, heavy cream until small bubbles appear around the edges. Do not allow the mixture to boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the contents of this bag until melted, returning the sauce to low heat if needed for the chocolate to melt completely. Serve warm, topped with whipped cream.
