My father is superman. He's constantly going, going, going. Even on the coldest winter day, he's out and about. Last weekend he spent hours in the arctic cold, chopping wood. When the sun had passed the yard arm and he finally came in to make a fire, I asked what I could get him. Without hesitation, he declared: "Hot Toddy."

This is how I made that snow day staple special for a true hero.

Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 cup prepared Hot Cinnamon Tea
• 1 tbsp fresh Orange Juice
• 1/8 cup Bourbon, Rye, or Irish Whiskey
• Orange Vanilla Sugar (to taste, optional)

Instructions:

1. Place a metal spoon in a handled glass or mug (prevents cracking)
2. Add your spirit of choice
3. Pour in the orange juice
4. Top off with the prepared hot cinnamon tea
5. Stir in Orange Vanilla Sugar to your liking
6. Serve immediately while steaming hot
