Macy’s Senior Soda Syphon. Made in Czechoslovakia. 1930s glass seltzer bottle with an outer wire cage and an inner glass straw. The red “fill” line is still clearly visible. This item currently contains water.

This 1930’s Soda Syphon was used by my great-grandfather who enjoyed an evening highball well into his 90’s. It reminds me of his effervescent personality, often sparking up conversations with interesting characters as he rode the train into Boston to see the Red Sox, one of his favorite pastimes.
