SOUP BISCUIT MIX - Tin Tie Bag (makes 12 small biscuits) INGREDIENTS: wheat flour enriched (niacin, reduced iron, thiamine, mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid) malted barley flour, baking powder, and kosher salt. JUST ADD: shortening or butter and milk.
Directions:
1/4 cup butter, shortening or coconut oil (room temp)
1/2 cup milk
Preheat your oven to 425°F. In a large bowl, cut the butter into the flour using a pastry blender or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Gradually add the milk, stirring gently with a fork until a soft dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and very lightly knead for about 30 seconds, just enough to shape it.
Roll the dough out to 1/2-inch thickness. Use a 2-inch floured biscuit cutter or straight-sided cup to cut out the biscuits, pressing straight down without twisting.
Place the biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the tops are lightly golden brown. Makes 12 biscuits. Made in the USA with Pride! Store in a cool, dark, dry place.
