Vintage Green Uranium Glass Juicer 1930s

Depression era glass juicer is designed to extract juice by hand from citrus fruits like lemons and oranges. The fruit is cut in half and twisted on the reamer. The juice and seeds collect in the base. There is a ring shaped handle and pour spout incorporated into the deep base. Ideal for juicing a lemon for a recipe or for squeezing a small glass of fresh orange juice.

Uranium juicers typically have a greenish hue and glow brightly under ultraviolet light, such as a blacklight. They contain a small amount of uranium oxide, causing the fluorescence. Very collectible pieces for collectors due to their unique glow and vintage appeal.
